Gala Apple

Originated from New Zealand and came to America in 1965. Is now one of the top-ranked apples due to its crisp, dense, sweet and juicy flavor. Medium sized with reddish yellow stripes. Large-yeilding vigourus tree. Requires cross pollination and refriderated storage. Zone 4-8. 500 chill hours and low temp of -30F. Ripens mid August to early September.
